The Bright Side of the Lockdown

Via: Freepik.com

Even though we want to get out of the house and are complaining that our summer vacations are being spent alone at home, there's also a bright side,a silver lining, a break in the clouds.

We always begged our teachers for free time or faked sick to be at home, and now we are.

We can do all the things we wanted to do in the past when we claimed to be”too busy”.spend quality time with your family, when have you ever been free to play cards for endless hours?.don't while away your time sitting idly. We should use this time to practice gratitude for all the things we have taken for granted.

Enjoy the little things that make us happy: rarely do we get to fully appreciate small, minor things but with all this time in our hands we can reflect on it.

Take up a new activity or hobby that you can do from your home or start being more mindful of the food you eat.change something about your personality that you've never been fond of.

Think about all those things you wanted to do when you came home from school and do all that you can.The virus also makes us more creative and puts our mind to work.

When this lockdown passes over and we slowly get back to our regular lives do you want to look back and wish that you had done more productive things during your time at home then do nothing?.

The lockdown is also helping to slow down global warming, decreasing carbon footprint and pollution.we can look up and see blue skies without a trace of air pollution or fog.

Other environmental changes like clear waters instead of canals crowded by tourist boats.

The pandemic is like a wakeup call to start getting a better healthcare system.Hygiene levels have also increased which is beneficial towards everyone.we even find ourselves singing happy birthday twice to ensure that all the germs are being scrubbed away.Japan recorded 7.21 million cases by early March (the peak of the flu season). The number of cases has significantly decreased from previous years (21.04 million infections during the samt time in 2017/18)

Indian firms are slowly starting to replace China's manufacturing hub by innovating and rapidly designing testing devices and disinfection chambers.

So let's all start appreciating not complaining.
