Makeup is not a mask that covers up your beauty; it’s a weapon that helps you express who you are from the inside.
Your face is like an art pallet, and there is a never-ending canvas that you get to play with. You get the freedom to express yourself through makeup. There’s literally nothing wrong you can do with makeup because when it comes to creating art, you could put any color anywhere and just be happy about it. Makeup expresses everything about a persons’ personality, even their mood.
Makeup to different people could mean it is a way to be creative, feel put together, or simply just because they love doing it!
There are many misconceptions about makeup like many times, people are judged for wearing makeup because others think that it’s done to cover imperfections, but it's honestly so much more than that! Even though some people start wearing makeup to cover up their so-called imperfections or because they feel insecure, there’s nothing wrong with that. If it makes
somebody feel happy and comfortable to wear makeup, then so be it! They should be able to do so without being criticized for it.
To me, makeup is a talent and reflection of myself. Makeup has no rules and that’s what makes me love it even more. It's not only about looking pretty or enhancing my features, but it allows my skin to become a canvas of endless possibilities. One day I could decide to just throw on some eyeliner and mascara, but another day I could go all out! I get to be creative with it, bring my imagination to life, and even transform myself into my most confident and powerful self. I love the process of applying it and seeing the outcome of what I envisioned. Sometimes I spend hours and hours putting on makeup, just to end up wiping it all off if I am not satisfied with it. But that’s the best part, I get to practice art on myself and I have full creative control so I can keep practicing different things and that makes it even more fun the next time I try it again!
I love makeup, and that’s why I do it as much as I do. I wear makeup to express on the outside
how I feel on the inside. I am able to develop confidence without having to speak about it. So,
forget about the misconceptions about makeup and get creative with it because makeup is art, makeup is passion and makeup is expression. Use makeup to express yourself and do so
unapologetically just like me! I will continue to use makeup for years and years to come
because I love it. I love it because it gives me power. The power to be who I want to be.
