"The suicide prevention week was one of the highlights of the month. It was an
extremely well-organized event by the psychology students and faculty members. As students, we face immense pressure, so it was heartening to know we could always seek help and that we are supported.
This week reminded us to prioritise self- care not only for ourselves but also for the people around us. This was done through a seminar about suicide prevention and numerous presentations. It was reassuring to learn that mental health is just as important as physical
health.
The stigma surrounding mental health and suicide has been a significant issue in our country. Seeing the stigma being broken in our school felt extremely empowering.
The psychology club did an incredible job informing us about suicide while still being sensitive to the subject.”
